Japan launches campaign to encourage its youths to drink more
Kathmandu, August 20. Japan has launched a campaign to encourage its youths to drink more. The campaign is launched to revive the economy caused to downfall by the pandemic.
The campaign named “Sake Viva!” is launched by the National Tax Agency (NTA) and has called youths to come up with business ideas that could encourage youths to drink more. Further, the Japanese tax agency described the plan as to solve the liquor industry issues and other problems.
Moreover, people aged 20-39 can enter the competition. Finalists are to be selected by September 27. Another round will take place in October followed by the final results in November.
The data from the Japanese National Tax Agency revealed that Japanese drank less after the covid pandemic hit in 2020. While the Japanese people consumed 100 litres of alcohol in 1995, it has dropped to just 75 litres at present.
