Apple warns of security flaw for iPhones, iPads and Macs
Kathmandu, August 21. Apple disclosed there could be vulnerabilities for iPhones, iPads and Macs that could potentially let attackers seize total control of these devices.
Rachel Tobac, CEO of SocialProof Security said a hacker could gain “full admin access” to the system and pose as the device’s owner, subsequently running any software in their name.
Further, security experts have advised users to update affected devices — the iPhone6S and later models; several models of the iPad, including the 5th generation and later, all iPad Pro models and the iPad Air 2; and Mac computers running MacOS Monterey. The flaw also affects some iPod models.
Moreover, Apple has not disclosed on how or by whom the flaws was discovered. They cited an anonymous researcher in all cases.
