MoU signed with UK to recruit healthcare professionals from Nepal

Kathmandu, August 22. The Government signed a bilateral agreement with United Kingdom(UK) to recruit healthcare professionals from Nepal.

Eknarayan Aryal, Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and Nicola Pollitt, British Ambassador to Nepal signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday. The event was graced by Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Welfare, Sher Bahadur Kunwar.

A Government to Government (G2G) bilateral agreement has been established through the MoU for fair and ethical recruitment of healthcare professionals.

Moreover, healthcare professionals recruited from Nepal will get equal rights and privileges as health officials in the UK.

Previously, Nepal has signed similar labor agreement with Israel, Japan and Mauritius.
