Kathmandu, August 27. The 7th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Food Security Ministerial Meeting was held on Friday. The online meeting was attended by agriculture and food ministers as well as other senior officials.
Thailand’s Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Chalermchai Sri-On stressed on the global food challenges and the challenges arising in the health and economic sector. Minister Sri-On chaired the meeting.
Further, the members participating in the meeting agreed to promote sustainability of natural resources and environment, along with promoting food security.
Additionally, the ‘Food Security Roadmap Towards 2030’ plan was endorsed in the meeting.
