Kathmandu, August 29. Two France Air pilots have been suspended after they were found fighting in the cockpit.
The incident took place in a Geneva- Paris flight in June. As revealed by an Air France official on Sunday, the flight was landed safely, and the rest of the flight was not affected by the fight.
Further, according to a report in a French newspaper, the pilot and co-pilot had a dispute soon after takeoff and grabbed each other’s collars. A cabin crew came in to intervene, and stayed inside the cockpit for the rest of the flight.
The incident came into light after France’s air investigation agency, BEA revealed a report mentioning that Air France pilots lacked in respecting safety protocols. Additionally, the report mentioned three similar incidents between 2017 and 2022, where pilots were found acting according to their own analysis instead of abiding by the protocols.
Air France responded saying they are conducting a safety audit and pledged to follow guidelines from the agency.
