Judge delays Twitter trial giving time to Musk for buyout
Kathmandu, October 7. A judge has delayed a trial between Twitter and Elon Musk, giving more time to the Tesla CEO for a buyout. Musk was fighting his way out of the deal, but changing the decision recently.
Chancellor Kathaleen St. Jude McCormick, head of the Delaware Chancery Court, said Thursday that Musk and Twitter now have until October 28 to close the deal. Further, Twitter had asked the judge to proceed with the trials as they said Musk refused to abide by contractual obligations of agreement in April.
Musk’s attorney on Thursday further revealed Twitter offered Musk billions off the offered price and Musk refused due to underlying conditions put forward by Twitter.
The share prices of Twitter have fell since Musk made its renewed attempt to buy Twitter.
