Kathmandu, October 12. On Wednesday, the Bagmati Province Health Directorate confirmed that at least twenty-seven thousand people in the province tested positive for dengue during the recent outbreak.
“From July 17 to October 11, 27,750 individuals in the Bagmati province were infected with mosquito-borne Dengue infection. Out of which, 21 people lost their lives due to the complications of the deadly infection” the Directorate said.
According to the directorate’s official record, Kathmandu was the most infected district in the province. “11,467 dengue cases were recorded in Kathmandu.” With only seven cases, Rasuwa was the least affected district.
