Chinese President Xi likely to win third term after party’s term to end on October 22

Kathmandu, October 15. Chinese Communist Party’s 20th Congress will end in China on October, as said by a spokesperson at a press conference on Saturday.
Further, according to AFP, a closed door conclave is scheduled for a day after the press conference, where 2,000 delegates are expected to participate. President Xi Jinping is expected to deliver a speech revealing achievements of previous term and the map for next five years. President Xi is expected to run for a third term.
Moreover, the participants will select the members of the central committee and politburo. Sunday’s ceremony has a zero-covid policy, where attendees are required to undergo covid tests, while some are attending via video.
The new standing committee will be revealed post the day after closing of the congress. Xi will be one of the most powerful leaders post Mao Zedong if elected.
