Kathmandu, October 16. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office on Saturday conducted a special checking campaign.
During the one-day campaign, the traffic police took action against 1,407 drivers for violating traffic rules.
- 788 drivers faced action against various traffic offenses
- 446 faced action for having unclear number plates on their vehicle.
- 155 drivers faced action for overspeeding
- 5 for unnecessarily blowing the horn
- 4 for drinking and driving
- 2 motorcyclists for unusually high noise
