Tamil Nadu boy dies after consuming poisoned drink at school

Kathmandu, October 21. An 11-year-old boy died Friday in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu in India; after drinking poisoned cold drink in his school. He was given the drink by an unknown person at the school.
Further, the boy had complained of stomach pain after returning home, after which his parents took him to the hospital. The doctors then revealed that the drink was highly acidic, which damaged his throat, intestine and kidneys. The boy fought for his life for 20 days.
While the person who poisoned the child is yet to be identified, investigation is underway.
Further, Indian Congress leaders protested in front of the school on Friday. Police officials were deployed to maintain peace in the situation.
