Sunak named new prime minister of UK

Kathmandu, October 25. Rishi Sunak has taken over as United Kingdom (UK)’s prime minister on Tuesday. He is the third person to be selected as the country’s prime minister this year.
Further, he is tasked with the challenge of controlling the country’s growing economic crisis. He was invited by King Charles III to form a government, after which he gave his speech as the country’s prime minister at 10 Downing Street.
Sunak, 42 is the youngest to be elected prime minister of UK in more than 200 years. He is also the country’s first prime minister of color.
While Sunak said in his speech that there are “difficult decisions to come”, he also mentioned his government “will have integrity, professionalism and accountability at every level.”
Moreover, while he re-shuffled his cabinet, Hunt and Raab was retained as chancellor and justice secretary respectively.
