Suspension bridge collapses in Gujrat leaving at least 133 dead

Kathmandu, October 31. At least 133 people were killed after a suspension bridge in Gujrat, India collapsed on Sunday. The bridge is 143 years old and was built by the British.
Further, military teams have continued search and rescue operations on Monday. A company named Ajanta Manufacturing Pvt. Ltd was assigned a 15-year contract to maintain the bridge. It recently reopened the bridge on October 26.
Authorities have revealed the bridge collapsed under the weight of the people. Videos of the site reveal the bridge collapsed from the middle and metal walkway hanged down; while the cables snapped away.
While 177 survivors are reported, search for the missing is still on and injured are treated in hospitals.
