Xi Jinping assure Pakistan’s Sharif for support

Kathmandu, November 2. President Xi Jinping and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People on Wednesday. Sharif is in a two-day visit to China, Wednesday being his last day of visit.
Chinese President Xi assured Pakistan’s Sharif of support and help in stabilizing the country’s economy. Further, the Chinese president reiterated to collaborate in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), along with speeding up constructing the Gwadar seaport in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.
Moreover, Sharif thanked Xi for China’s “invaluable assistance to Pakistan’s relief and rehabilitation work”, regarding recent floods faced by his country. He said Pakistan drew inspiration from China for development and progress.
He further invited Xi for a visit to Pakistan, which was accepted.
Sharif also met his Chinese counterpart, Li Keqiang on Wednesday itself.
