Kathmandu, November 7. China is planning to study reproduction in outer space, for which monkeys are to be sent. According to an article in South China Morning Post, China is planning to study life science in space.
The Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing is leading the project. Further, one of the researchers revealed such studies will help understand the adaptation of organisms in space. The researcher added that some experiments will include mice and macaques to see how they grow and reproduce in space.
While the module can only occupy algae at present, the module is said to be designed in a way that will expand for larger organisms.
Moreover, nine international science experiments have been selected by CNSA to be launched aboard Tiangong in the coming years. The reproduction research will be done by astronauts taking the lead onboard Tiangong.
