Kathmandu, November 27. Germany and France have pledged to support each other to avert a possible energy crisis. An agreement was signed by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne on Friday.
The agreement will provide France with electricity from Germany while getting natural gas in return.
While Scholz said friends help each other in need, Borne supported the statement and said the friendship has already withstood challenges.
Germany was heavily reliant on Russian gas supplies before the Ukraine war. In the same way, France also has been facing electricity shortages due to repair at its power plants.
