Situation at Indo-Chinese border “generally stable”: China

Kathmandu, December 13. China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin on Tuesday revealed the situation at India-China border is “generally stable.” The minister said so after troops of both countries clashed at the border.

Further, the Indian Army in a statement the People’s Liberation Army troops contacted the LAC in Tawang Sector which was contested by Indian troops in a firm manner. The face-off led to minor injuries on both sides. Moreover, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh revealed no Indian troops were killed or seriously injured.

Singh said to the Lok Sabha, “This matter has also been taken up with China through diplomatic channels. I want to assure the House that our forces are committed to guarding our borders and ready to thwart any attempt that will be made to challenge it.”

While the clash occurred on December 9, the face off led the troops to return back to their camps.
