Kathmandu, December 14. A writ petition has been filed against parliamentarian Rabi Lamichhane at the Supreme Court.
Advocates duo Yubraj Safal and Rabiraj Bartaula filed the case against the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party, demanding that the court should vacate the post as he is not a Nepali citizen.
They claimed in their petition that Lamichhane is not qualified to be candidate of election to House of Representatives as he is not a Nepali citizen. Further adding, they said Lamichhane has not taken Nepali citizenship after giving up his US citizenship.
