Massive winter storm to impact the United States ahead of Christmas

Kathmandu, December 22. National Weather Service (NWS) of the United States forecasted on Wednesday that the central and eastern parts of the country will experience a powerful winter storm before the end of the week.

According to NWS, the winter storm is expected to bring a variety of weather threats during the coming days, including dangerously low temperatures, high winds, and heavy snowfall from the Intermountain West through the Plains, the Great Lakes, and the central Appalachians.

NWS wrote on Twitter, “Travel may become difficult immediately behind the front with bursts of snow and gusty winds leading to sudden whiteouts, flash freezing, and icy roads.”
