Pokhara University convocates 7000 students

Kathmandu, February 21. Pokhara University on Monday organized its 18th Convocation Ceremony inside the premises of its central office in Dhungepatan of  Pokhara.

A total number of 6,999 graduated from the University. During the ceremony, prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal conferred the graduation degree to the students.

“11 students from Masters level and one student from bachelor level received Special Chancellor and Vice Chancellor Medals for scoring highest marks in the university exams,” Vice Chancellor of PU Prof Dr Prem Narayan Aryal told reporters.

He added that 572 students from various academic fields have received the Dean’s list award. 

Pokhara University is currently operating 64 different programmes for Bachelors, Masters, MPhil and PhD levels. More than 37,000 students are enrolled in these programs at 66 colleges across the country.
