Kathmandu, February 27. Indonesia has been hit by an earthquake on Monday.
The 5.5 magnitude earthquake had an epicentre 42 km southeast of Sigi Regency in Central Sulawesi province of central Indonesia.
According to Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the earthquake struck at a depth of about 10 km under the land.
The exact time of the first wave was in the morning at 8:26 am Jakarta time (06:11 am Nepali Time).
No casualties and damages have been reported so far.
The agency further said that the earthquake did not trigger a tsunami.
