KP Oli led Communist Party decides to join opposition force
Kathmandu, February 27. On Monday morning, the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) held a secretariat level meeting at its central office in Lalitpur.
After the meeting, the KP Oli led party announced that it has decided to leave the government and establish itself as a main opposition force.
UML vice Chair Bishnu Prasad Paudel informed reporters that the CPN (UML) party is“withdrawing all of its support to the Prachanda led government”.
The government is currently focussed on electing its new president. The voting of the presidential election is scheduled on March 9.
Two days earlier, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party announced to step down from its supportive roles to the ruling government, withdraw its support to the nominees of the presidential elections and exit the government.
