Kathmandu, July 17: Domestic Airlines in Nepal to Implement VAT on Services from Today.
The Nepal Airlines Operators Association has declared that the value-added tax (VAT) will be applied on all of its services as of today. In a press note issued today, the Association informed the public about their decision to incorporate VAT in domestic airfares, in line with the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2023-24.
Due to this development, fares for domestic services have been raised by up to six percent. As a result of the VAT inclusion, passengers will experience a slight increase in the costs of domestic air travel. (RSS)
