Rolpa, July 21: A tragic incident occurred when a lightning strike claimed the life of Dil Bahadur Ghartimagar, 49, who was the ward chair of Sunchhari Rural Municipality-3 in the district. The unfortunate event took place on Thursday night.
According to Prakash Bhusal, the information officer for the ward office, Ghartimagar was sleeping at his younger brother’s house when the lightning struck, resulting in his untimely death.
In a separate incident on the same night, five individuals in Parbat district were also injured after being struck by lightning in two different locations.
