Janamat Party Ministers Step Down from Madhes Province Government

Dhanusha, July 31: Two Ministers Resign from Madhes Province Government in Accordance with Party Directives. Today, Minister without portfolio Basant Kushahawa and Minister of State without portfolio Sanjay Kumar Yadav tendered their resignations to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav, marking their departure from the Madhes Province government.
Both ministers, who represent the Janamat Party, made the decision to step down following the party’s directives, as confirmed by party leader BP Shah.
Earlier, on May 23, Kushahawa was replaced as the minister for land management, agriculture, and cooperatives by Govinda Neupane from the CPN (Unified Socialist). Since then, Kushahawa held the position of minister without portfolio.
According to Shah, the party is currently in discussions to appoint two new individuals to fill the vacant ministerial positions left by the resignations. Chandan Singh, the Party Chief Whip, is likely to be appointed in place of Kushahawa, while PA member Ranju Khanga is being considered for the position of Yadav.
