Jalan Fund Brings Healing to Burn Patients in Kirtipur

Kathmandu, Aug 22: A new initiative called the “Jalan Fund” has been started by respected artists Madankrishna Shrestha and Harivansh Acharya, along with Congress leaders Chandra Bhandari.
This fund aims to help poor, helpless, and orphaned patients receive treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital. The money for this fund is collected through a collaboration between Public Health Concern Trust Nepal and Kirtipur Municipality.
Every year, more than 600 patients with burn injuries are treated at Kirtipur Hospital. In the first seven and a half months of 2023, 79 people have already received treatment through this initiative.
