Kathmandu, Aug 22: The Jomsom-Korla road in Baglung, which is an important route, has been blocked because the Khare river overflowed. This happened on Sunday night.

The road is part of a big project, but it’s closed now because of the flooding river. The cheif district officer of Mustang, Anup KC, said that the river flooded near Tangbe in Baragung Mukti Kshetra Rural Municipality. This has stopped vehicles from going to Upper Mustang directly.

Last week, the road was blocked because of floods in Kagkhola, but it was fixed in a few days. Now, people who were traveling to Upper Mustang, both locals and tourists, are having problems because of this road closure. There’s no other way to reach Upper Mustang from Jomsom. They’re trying to open the road by tonight because the river’s water is going down.

The river flooded last night, and because of that, the road to Upper Mustang is closed. They’re using machines to try to open it again. When Kagkhola flooded earlier, they helped some tourists get to Jomsom. But now, some tourists are still stuck in Upper Mustang because of this road issue.
