Landslides Block Key Road in Baglung, Disrupting Travel
Kathmandu Sept 5: In Baglung, heavy rain on Saturday night caused landslides that have blocked an important part of the Kaligandaki Corridor. This has created problems since the morning, as the road connection to the southern part of the district and neighboring areas like Parbat and Gulmi has been cut off.
Meen Bahadur Khadka, the chief of traffic police, explained that the landslides have made it impossible for vehicles to move along this road. The blockage happened in Baglung Municipality-10, specifically in Dablyang under the Balewa section of the Kaligandaki Corridor.
This disruption is causing inconvenience for people who rely on this route for their daily transportation, and efforts are likely underway to clear the road and restore normal travel as soon as possible.
