Monsoon Alert: Nepal Braces for Rain and Storms, Urgent Precautions Advised
Kathmandu, Sept 25: Currently, there’s a weather system causing rain in various parts of Nepal. This system is influenced by low-pressure areas in different places, including one in India.
According to the Department of Hydrometeorology, there are light to moderate rains happening in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
In the afternoon, the weather will be partly cloudy in the country. There’s a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places, particularly in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati provinces, and a few other areas. There might be heavy rain in some parts of the Koshi region.
At night, the weather will change, and there’s still a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning in some places, mainly in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and a few spots in other provinces.
This rain can lead to increased river levels and potential problems like landslides, floods, and lightning. The department advises people to take precautions to stay safe and prevent damage.
