Kathmandu, Oct 8: In recent times, various regions of Nepal have been experiencing alarming extremist activities. These actions, often meant to encourage extremist groups, have raised serious concerns. Even though reports of such elements infiltrating different cities in Nepal have been received, the government seems to be unaware and unprepared.

According to sources, the National Investigation Department of Nepal has been informed about elements that aim to inflame Hindu religious sentiments and create tension. These elements are also allegedly involved in incidents that promote violence.

It has been reported that these extremist elements, originating from India, have been active in places like Sarlahi, Nepalgunj, and Dharan, targeting Hindus and trying to incite them. These actions are believed to be part of a larger plan, including challenging Nepal’s existing constitution and establishing a Hindu state, with the support of Indian extremist groups.

Despite the information gathered, the government has not formulated a specific policy to address this issue effectively. While discussions about these religious extremist elements took place during a recent meeting at the National Security Council Secretariat, concrete actions to deal with the situation have yet to materialize.

Nepal, which has been grappling with political instability and leadership changes, faces the challenge of managing these extremist activities within its borders. It remains to be seen how the government will respond to this growing concern and whether it can prevent further escalations of extremism in the country. The need for vigilance and proactive measures to ensure peace and stability in Nepal cannot be overstated.
