Kathmandu, Oct 11: In Nepal, the government wants local government workers to have a conversation as tensions grow in the country. This call for talking comes as protests continue to cause disruptions in places like Kathmandu.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has said they are ready to listen to the concerns of the workers who are protesting. These workers belong to groups called the Central Struggle Committee of Employees and the Joint Struggle Committee of Local Government Employees. They have been protesting daily from Myitighar Mandala to Baneshwor.

These protests began in the middle of Ashoj in the Nepali calendar, and local government employees have stopped their usual work since the 19th of Ashoj. The government is now asking them to sit down and talk so they can discuss what’s bothering them.

The specific things the workers are asking for aren’t mentioned in the statement. But it’s clear that the government is taking this seriously and is willing to have a conversation to deal with the issues the workers are bringing up.

As things develop, it’s important for everyone involved to try to find a peaceful solution by talking and making sure that the public is taken care of and local government can work smoothly.
