Kathmandu, Oct 17: The Nepali government has successfully rescued 19 Nepali nationals from Israel with the assistance of an Indian aircraft. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed on Tuesday that the 19 Nepali citizens were evacuated from Israel via a SpiceJet aircraft early in the morning, following the government’s request for their safe return.

In a previous effort, 254 Nepali citizens were also rescued from Israel during the first phase of evacuation. They were brought back to Nepal on a Nepal Airlines wide-body aircraft. The government officials, including Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud, traveled to Israel for the mission.

The evacuation became necessary due to the conflict in Israel, particularly the Hamas group’s attacks, which tragically claimed the lives of 10 Nepali students studying at Far West University in Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been coordinating with the Israeli government to repatriate their bodies to Nepal.

This ongoing effort highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens, especially during times of international crises.
