Kathmandu, Nov 7: In a recent development, the Infrastructure Development Committee under the House of Representatives has expressed its dissatisfaction with the progress of the Gwarko flyover construction in Lalitpur. Even though a contract agreement was signed some time ago, the committee noted that the construction work has not picked up the expected pace.

During an inspection of the Gwarko flyover construction site on Monday, committee Chairman Deepak Bahadur Singh voiced concerns about the project’s delay. He emphasized the need to accelerate the construction to ensure it is completed on schedule.

Speaker Singh further highlighted the daily struggles faced by commuters on the Koteshwar-Satdobato-Kalanki road section, where traffic jams cause significant delays in reaching their destinations. As a result, he mentioned that discussions with the government and relevant contractors will be held to provide necessary instructions to alleviate this issue.

The Gwarko flyover project includes a 320-meter ramp towards Balkumari and a 185-meter ramp towards Satdovato in Lalitpur. Additionally, the committee conducted an on-site inspection of the Kalanki Bashundhara road extension project on the same day, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure development in the region.
