Pregnant Woman Rescued by Helicopter in Bajhang

Bajhang, Dec 18: In a swift and life-saving operation, a pregnant woman was rescued by helicopter in Bajhang today. Sunita Thapa, a 32-year-old resident of Jayaprithvi Municipality-11, was airlifted by a Nepali Army helicopter on Monday.

Bajhang Police Chief Bharat Shah reported that Sunita Thapa had been experiencing profuse bleeding due to labor pains since Sunday. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Nepali Army dispatched a helicopter to transport her to Surkhet at 11 am this morning. The prompt action by the authorities ensured her timely access to medical assistance.

Ward President Sarjan Bahadur Thapa provided an update on Sunita Thapa’s health, stating that her condition is now normal. She has been safely transported to the hospital, emphasizing the importance of such emergency services in remote areas like Bajhang.

The successful rescue highlights the crucial role that helicopters and rapid response teams play in providing timely medical aid to individuals in critical conditions, particularly in geographically challenging regions.
