Finance Minister Barshaman Pun Allocates 1.3 Billion for Sports Infrastructure Development
Kathmandu, May 28: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has announced a budget allocation of 1.3 billion rupees for the development of sports infrastructure for the upcoming fiscal year. In his budget speech on Tuesday, Minister Pun detailed the plans for improving and constructing key sports facilities across the country.
A significant portion of the budget will be dedicated to upgrading the Tribhuvan University (TU) cricket ground to meet higher standards. Additionally, the Gautam Buddha Stadium will be constructed in collaboration with provincial and local levels, aiming to enhance sports facilities and promote sporting activities in the region.
This substantial investment underscores the government’s commitment to advancing the sports sector and providing better facilities for athletes and sports enthusiasts in Nepal.
