Switzerland to Host Peace Conference on Ukraine with Participation from 90 Countries

Kathmandu, Jun 10: The Swiss government has announced that 90 countries have agreed to participate in a “peace conference” addressing the ongoing issue in Ukraine. This conference is proposed to take place at a luxury resort following the G-7 summit at Lake Lucerne.

Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis has indicated that key topics for discussion will include the exchange of prisoners of war, food security, and nuclear security. However, it is reported that Russia has not been invited to the conference, and China will also not be participating.

For security, the Swiss Army plans to deploy 4,000 soldiers. Additionally, the Swiss government has revealed that it has been targeted by cyber attacks in the lead-up to the event.
