Jasprit Bumrah Named Player of the Tournament in T20 World Cup
Kathmandu, Jun 30: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been honored as the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance in the T20 World Cup. Bumrah took 15 wickets in 8 matches, including key dismissals of Riza Hendricks and Marco Jansen in the final against South Africa.
Bumrah expressed immense happiness after India’s victory in the T20 World Cup. In an emotional moment, he hugged his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, during an interview. “I tried to play calmly. I’m on top of the world. My son is here, the family is here. We have worked very hard to win,” Bumrah said.
Sanjana Ganesan, a senior sports journalist, was appointed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as an ICC Digital Insider for the World Cup, adding a special personal touch to the event for Bumrah.
