Nepali and US Armies to Hold Joint Disaster Response Exercise

Kathmandu, Sept 13: The Nepali Army has announced a joint exercise with the United States Army to improve disaster response capabilities. The exercise will be held from October 30 to November 4.

During the exercise, both armies will share knowledge on current methods and procedures to enhance the effectiveness of search and rescue operations during various disasters.

The exercises will take place across Kathmandu, Makwanpur, and Dhading districts. This marks the fourth edition of the joint drill, which began in 2012.
