Trump Calls for Cognitive Test for Presidential Candidates, Harris Addresses Misinformation
Kathmandu, Oct 21: Former US President and Republican candidate Donald Trump has called for all presidential candidates to take a cognitive test. Speaking in Pennsylvania, Trump stressed the importance of mental health, saying, “I have always focused on keeping my mental health in good condition.”
Responding to Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump dismissed concerns about his own health, stating, “I don’t have any health-related problems.” He added that the cognitive test suggestion is not age-related. “I am close to 80, and some of the greatest leaders in history were 80 or older,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris, also running as a Republican candidate, addressed the spread of misinformation. In an interview with Al Sharpton on MSNBC, she responded to concerns that some have labeled her “Kamala the Cop” due to her career in law enforcement, which might affect voter perception.
Harris remarked, “Some are spreading false information about me before the election. I am spending time with various communities so they can hear and know me directly.”
