Liverpool Dominate Ipswich to Strengthen EPL Lead

Kathmandu, Jan 26: Liverpool continued their impressive form in the English Premier League (EPL) with a commanding 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday night, solidifying their position at the top of the table.

Cody Gakpo scored twice, while Dominic Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah added a goal each at Anfield. Jacob Grace netted a late consolation goal for the visitors.

Szoboszlai opened the scoring in the 11th minute, and Salah doubled the lead in the 35th. Gakpo extended Liverpool’s advantage with goals in the 44th and 66th minutes. Grace’s late effort in injury time was little more than a consolation for Ipswich.

With the win, Liverpool now lead the EPL standings with 53 points from 22 matches, six points clear of second-placed Arsenal, who have 47 points but have played one game more.

Meanwhile, Ipswich remain in the relegation zone with 16 points from 23 games.

In another match, Manchester City defeated Chelsea 3-1, further intensifying the race for top positions in the league.
