Trump’s First Week in Office: Key Decisions Impacting the World
Kathmandu, Jan 27: US President Donald Trump has completed his first week in the White House, making several key decisions that have sparked global attention.
Trump issued a ban on immigrants at the southern border, with Mexico ramping up efforts to build a border wall. He also denied citizenship to children of immigrants living in the U.S. illegally or on temporary visas.
In a controversial move, Trump initiated the process of withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement and signed an order to pull out of the World Health Organization.
The Trump administration announced that it would only recognize men and women and ended all government programs promoting “gender ideology” or diversity.
Trump temporarily suspended the ban on TikTok for 75 days but warned he would ban the app’s sale to US companies during this period.
Additionally, Trump pardoned 1,600 supporters, including members of far-right groups and anti-abortion protesters linked to the Capitol Hill riots.
Trump also ordered the release of classified documents regarding the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr.
