Kathmandu, Feb 17: Myanmar defeated Lebanon 3-1 in the opening match of the Women’s International Championship at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor on Monday.
The match saw all goals come in the second half. Myanmar’s Captain Win Thinge Tun, Shwe Wi Tun, and San Thuu each scored for their team, while Lila Iskandar found the net for Lebanon to equalize temporarily.
The first half ended without any goals, despite both teams having opportunities to score. With this victory, Myanmar secured their first three points in the four-nation tournament.
