Trump Criticizes Macron and Starmer Over Ukraine Conflict

Kathmandu, Feb 23: US President Donald Trump has criticized French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, stating they have “done nothing” to end the war in Ukraine.
Trump’s remarks come ahead of his scheduled meetings with both leaders at the White House next week. He also claimed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had “no information” on a peace deal and suggested Zelenskyy might not be significant enough to attend the discussions.
Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, France, Britain, and other allies have been providing military aid and support to Ukraine. On Monday, European leaders held an emergency meeting in Paris to discuss the conflict, expressing concerns that a potential peace deal could isolate Ukraine and Europe.
Despite his criticism, Trump later praised European leaders in an interview with Fox News, calling Macron a “friend” and describing Starmer as a “real person.” Macron is expected to visit Washington on Monday, while Starmer is likely to arrive at the White House on Thursday.
