Kathmandu, Feb 23: UML MP Yogesh Bhattarai has stated that the construction of the cable car in the Pathibhara area of Taplejung is being carried out in accordance with Nepal’s laws and constitution. Speaking during an emergency session, he objected to activities opposing the project.
Bhattarai, who represents Taplejung, emphasized that the private sector has been granted permission for the project under legal provisions. “The approval process follows Nepal’s laws and regulations. While protests are a democratic right, they should be conducted in a civilized and peaceful manner,” he said.
He also warned that bringing religion and culture into political debates could lead to unnecessary controversy.
