RPP Nepal Declares March 9 Demonstration as Historic

Kathmandu, March 9: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal, led by Kamal Thapa, has described the March 9 demonstration in Kathmandu as a historic event and a sign of growing public support for the restoration of monarchy and a Hindu nation.
In a statement issued after the Central Executive Committee meeting, Party General Secretary Rajaram Bartaula said that the massive gathering was a clear indication of the people’s demand for change. The meeting concluded that the King’s call for national cooperation to resolve Nepal’s crisis had been widely accepted by the public.
The party emphasized that Nepal’s major political forces must take responsibility for a peaceful resolution to the country’s challenges, including abolition of corruption, job creation, and national unity. It called for the establishment of a fundamental democratic system based on all-party consensus.
RPP Nepal has urged all nationalists, monarchists, Hinduists, democrats, and patriots to unite and form an ‘All-Party Movement Front’ to institutionalize the aspirations of the people. It also called for the immediate declaration of a new people’s movement with a well-organized program.
Furthermore, the party expressed gratitude to those who participated in the March 9 demonstration, stating that their support reinforced the demand for the restoration of Nepal as a Hindu nation with a constitutional monarchy.
