Kathmandu, March 20: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash prize of ₹580 million for the Indian cricket team following their triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy.

In a statement, BCCI highlighted that the financial award recognizes the contributions of players, coaches, staff, and the men’s selection committee.

India secured the title by defeating New Zealand by four wickets in the final.

BCCI President Roger Binny praised the team, stating, “There is nothing more special than winning two consecutive ICC titles. This award recognizes the dedication and excellence of the Indian team on the world stage.”

He further added that the cash prize is a tribute to the hard work and efforts of those working behind the scenes.
