Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhawa’ Nears ₹600 Crore Mark at the Box Office

Mumbai, March 25: Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama Chhawa continues its impressive box office run, closing in on the ₹600 crore mark. Despite a slower pace in recent weeks, the film has secured its position among Bollywood’s top-grossing films, with only Jawan ahead in lifetime collections.
As of Monday, Chhawa had grossed ₹596.97 crore, according to industry tracker Saknilka. The film earned ₹585.81 crore in its first five weeks (35 days), with ₹571.40 crore from the Hindi market and ₹14.41 crore from its Telugu version. Over the past few days, the collections have been:
- Day 36: ₹2.10 crore
- Day 37: ₹3.65 crore
- Day 38: ₹4.65 crore
By today, Chhawa is expected to surpass Stree 2’s total earnings of ₹597.99 crore, making it Bollywood’s second-highest-grossing film. Only Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which amassed ₹640.25 crore, remains ahead.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and made on a ₹130 crore budget, Chhawa features Vicky Kaushal as Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna in a key role. The film’s strong performance reaffirms Kaushal’s growing box office appeal.
