Nepal Police Club Clinches Prime Minister’s Cup Title for Second Consecutive Year

Kathmandu, March 29: Nepal Police Club has won the Prime Minister’s Cup National Men’s ODI Cricket Tournament for the second year in a row, defeating Tribhuvan Army Club by six wickets.
In the final match at Siddharth Cricket Ground, Army batted first after winning the toss but was all out for 154 runs in 43 overs. Basir Ahmed was the top scorer with an unbeaten 86 off 104 balls, while captain Binod Bhandari contributed 29 runs.
Chasing 155, Police comfortably secured the win in 25.2 overs, losing just four wickets. Kushal Bhurtel led the charge with 61 runs off 70 balls, supported by Amit Shrestha (39) and Dilip Nath (31*). Kushal and Amit shared a crucial 77-run opening partnership.
Shahab Alam took three wickets for Army, while Naren Saud claimed one.
This marks Nepal Police Club’s fourth overall championship title. They previously won in 2017 (jointly with Army), 2019, and 2023.
