PM Oli Holds High-Level Talks to Address Teachers’ Agitation

Kathmandu, April 7: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a high-level meeting today at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singhadurbar to address the ongoing teachers’ protest in Kathmandu. Present at the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Education, Science and Technology Minister Bidya Bhattarai, Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal, and other top officials.

The discussion focused on resolving the issues raised by the agitating teachers through dialogue. The demands put forth by the Federation of Nepal Teachers were presented on behalf of the Ministry of Education. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the talks emphasized identifying solutions that the government can act on immediately, drafting legislation related to school education, improving the current economic context, and ensuring quality education across the country.
