Kathmandu, April 30: Legendary Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to become the new head coach of Brazil’s national football team, following his departure from Real Madrid at the end of this season.

According to reports, Ancelotti will officially take charge in early June, just in time to begin preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The 65-year-old tactician is one of the most decorated managers in football history. His coaching resume includes major European clubs such as Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, and Real Madrid, where he has had two successful stints—first from 2013 to 2015, and then returning in 2021.

Ancelotti’s appointment marks a significant shift for Brazil, who have never before had a non-Brazilian coach lead them into a World Cup. The decision reflects the country’s ambition to return to global dominance after underwhelming recent campaigns.
