Kathmandu, May 11: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled the 15-member national squad for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 matches in Scotland. The team will be led by captain Rohit Paudel, with Dipendra Singh Airee serving as vice-captain.
The squad, selected by newly appointed coach Stuart Law, includes a blend of experienced players and promising talents:
- Batters: Kushal Bhurtel, Bhim Sarki, Arif Sheikh, Asif Sheikh, Anil Kumar Shah
- All-rounders: Dipendra Singh Airee, Gulshan Jha, Basir Ahmad
- Bowlers: Sandeep Lamichhane, Nandan Yadav, Rijan Dhakal, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi
Additionally, Rupesh Singh (all-rounder), Kiran Thagunna, and Lokesh Bam have been named for the upcoming T20I series as part of League-2 preparations.
Nepal will play practice matches against Scotland on June 2 and June 8, and against the Netherlands on June 4 ahead of the League-2 fixtures.
